Frequently asked questions

What exactly does YingPan compare?

Two NFL players for a given week under your scoring rules. We compute recent fantasy scoring averages, factor in reported injury status and role changes, and output a recommendation with machine-readable reason codes — so you can audit every claim.

Is this betting advice?

No. YingPan is a fantasy football decision tool. We provide informational data analysis only — not betting advice. We do not cover betting lines and we do not facilitate wagering.

What happens when the data isn't good enough?

We say so. If a player has too few recent appearances to compare reliably, the tool returns "insufficient data" instead of inventing an answer. Every result carries source references and timestamps.

Where does the data come from?

Play-by-play and roster data from nflverse, used under CC-BY-4.0 with attribution. Injury information comes from publicly reported team sources.

Which scoring rules are supported?

PPR, half-PPR, and standard at launch. Your league's custom settings are on the roadmap — the engine already versions every scoring rule it computes under.

How is this different from a rankings list?

Rankings lists make you do the translation work. YingPan answers your actual question — "Player A or Player B this week?" — and keeps a snapshot of every pre-game recommendation so results stay checkable after the games.
